The just concluded Spring/Summer 2015 instalment of British menswear celebration London Collections: Men (LC: M) showcased a range of dapper formal and casual wear styles from several internationally acclaimed fashion labels.

London’s Central Saint Martins’ grad Christopher Shannon drew inspiration from the messy bedrooms of teenagers. His streetwear style line featured oversized t-shirts with dropped sleeves, ripped-up collage print jersey shorts, hooded anoraks, cotton shirts, grey joggers, boxy denim jackets, straight-leg jeans, nylon bombers and navy, cream and black coloured round neck pullovers with colour blocked pockets in front.

The all-time favourite music legends Liam Gallagher and Jimi Hendrix played as muses for the Arcadia Group-owned men’s fashion brand Topman’s in-house premium label Topman Design’s latest catwalk presentation. Made using denim, cord and pinstriped wool, the line showcased tight t-shirts, tank tops, bright daisy print suits, pistachio green jackets and flared trousers.

The London-based, Savile Row specialist Richard James brought the sun-dried desert like atmosphere on the runway. The collection displayed bloom adorned four-pocketed khaki safari jackets, floral print shirts, neatly cut trousers, pale green crew-neck shirts with embroidered orange coloured rat motifs, knobbly-knee-length shorts and several striped, pastel and neutral hued mid-length jackets.

British fashion house Alexander McQueen’s creative director Sarah Burton infused a heavy dose of Oriental influence in her latest menswear range. Based on a palette of blue, terracotta and mustard tones, the sleek shaped and smartly cut pieces were decorated with abstract motifs of Japanese Kabuki dance drama artists.

Famous 20th century British novelist and travel writer Bruce Chatwin played as the source of inspiration for British luxury fashion house Burberry Prorsum’s design head Christopher Bailey’s new fashion creations. Decorated with a palette of saffron yellow, red, pink, bright blue and vintage green hues, the line showed denim shirts with pockets, floppy hats and book cover printed t-shirts.
