LFW jury picks nine new faces for Winter/Festive 2014

120 aspiring female models from all over India and from around the globe participated in model auditions for the upcoming Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014. An esteemed panel of judges chose 9 winners after three intense and drilling rounds of auditions.

The LFW Model Auditions is India’s most popular and respected launch pad for new faces, having introduced some of the most successful names in the modeling industry like Katrina Kaif, Yana Gupta, Mugdha Godse and Miss India World Kanishta Dhankar amongst many others.

Lakmé has discovered some of the most popular faces who have today become synonymous with beauty. The brand has been consistently associated with several leading models and celebrities over the years. For first time this season, through the LFW model auditions, the brand set out to find the face of Lakmé and has chosen winner Aisha Sharma to be part of this lineage and endorse Lakmé's Core Category across color cosmetics and skin products.

The jury panel comprised a mix of, fashion experts and stalwarts of the Indian fashion industry, including fashion designer Rocky S; top model Carol Gracias; ace photographer Colston Julian; Anaita Shroff Adajania – Fashion Director, Vogue India; Rashmi Virmani – fashion choreographer; along with Saket Dhankar-Head Fashion, IMG Reliance and Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovation, Lakmé.

Six fresh faces were chosen last week at first ever LFW model auditions held in Bangalore. They will join the Mumbai winners on the ramp at LFW WF 2014!
