Fashion label Aakarshan unveils Kacch inspired designs

Dubai-based fashion label which is a brand concept by a 24 year-old entrepreneur Aanchal Jaggi, has introduced this summer beautiful yet exquisite Kacch designs.

According to Aanchal Jaggi, a 24 year old entrepreneur and founder at Aakarshan, “I believe in taking forward the beauty yet simplicity of India in my designs and transform them into something unique. In this collection of Kacch jackets I have used mirror work on polychromatic shades of colours. In my designs there is always a perfect blend of colour, the uniqueness of these Kacch jackets is that you can team-them with denims and even beautiful soft shades of cotton skirts.”

About Kutch Jackets and blouses

Aanchal has always been a big fan of Kutch embroidery and also used it for my graduating collection in university. Kutch embroidery is characterised by the use of vibrant colours, mirrors, beads with intricate and extensive needlework that makes the dullest of fabrics look vibrant.

Woollen threads in fine stitches are used to create elaborate patterns and draws its inspiration from romantic, architectural and human motifs, as well as Persian and Mughal arts. The use of colours in this kind of embroidery is what can make fall in love with it. A lot of the Kutch embroidery is influenced by various architectural designs and motifs such as the ‘Heer bharat’. Using the Heer Bharat as a mirror is easily fixed in the centre that adds more beauty to the embroidery work. In the designs of Aakarshan, Aanchal has used a lot of shades of Blue, Pink, Green, Deep red and etc.
