Chinese designers partner with fashion show 'The HUB'

Asia's leading fashion trade show, Hong Kong-based The HUB announces an exciting alliance with Chinese designers from both Hong Kong and Mainland China.

With Hong Kong-based association, Fashion Farm Foundation, five top local designers have been selected to participate in the show. These labels include Anyway, 112 mountainyam, Kenax Leung, twister sisters, GLUSH/, FAVE and MODEMENT.

Within Mainland China, The HUB has secured internationally-renowned fashion designer Vega Zaishi Wang and Lou De Nannan. The move is significant given the recent rise of promising Chinese designers onto the international stage from both Hong Kong and Mainland China. All of these designers will be showing at The Greenhouse.

The Greenhouse runs as part of industry trade show The HUB, with a dedicated space and platform for up-and-coming designers and labels to be discovered by international media and buyers. In addition to the five Hong Kong designers from Fashion Farm Foundation and two from Mainland China, eighteen selected labels from all over the globe will take part, ensuring the coming edition of The HUB will be a truly cosmopolitan event.

“Over the years Peter and I have witnessed the development of some great Chinese designers as well as others from around the region”, says co-founder Richard Hobbs. “We therefore felt it was a natural move to support them as best we can, and dedicate a space to these labels so that top retail executives, buyers and shop owners would have a chance to connect with them. Fashion is ultimately about creativity and commerce and there is a huge amount of interest in the West for Asian design talent. In the medium term we see The HUB as being the platform for the best talent from the Asia Pacific to connect with buyers on a global scale, not just regionally.”

Vega Wang also comments about her confirmed attendance into The HUB,"It's a great pleasure to participate in The HUB this time in Hong Kong. We are looking forward to meeting all the buyers and media both international and local and to see a variety of new trends and creations. I am also looking forward to the party at the Upper House, which will be a great change to show the world what we can bring onto the international stage!"
