Boasting over 220 brands, a very high quality of visitors and a higher international participation, the Children's Fashion Cologne (CFC) successfully came to a close on Saturday (12 July 2014). The third edition of the trade fair repeated the good results of the first two events and confirmed the role of the CFC as the biggest and most important business and order platform for the children's fashion industry in the German-speaking zone.

The participating companies from 18 countries included international market leaders such as Esprit Maternity, the Kid’s Fashion Group, Monnalisa, Levi’s Kidswear, Pepe Jeans London, Replay & Sons and Sanetta. In addition to the first-class ambiance, the exhibitors particularly praised the high quality of the visitors.

Overall, around 1,300 trade visitors from 34 countries (Europe and Asia) used the trade fair for children's, baby and maternity fashion for their order business and to establish new business contacts. The visitor survey also confirmed the high level of satisfaction among the visitors. 83 percent of the respondents would recommend the CFC. Furthermore, the trade fair was able to raise its brand awareness at international level.

The share of foreign visitors increased by 28 percent compared to the summer edition 2013. As such, the third edition of the CFC met the high expectations of the industry, which certified that the event still offers huge potential.

Top-class fashion shows
The fashion shows organised by Luna, which impressed the trade visitors on all days of the fair, were one of the highlights of the Children’s Fashion Cologne. Over 60 young aspiring models presented among others the labels Camp David, Converse, Gaudí, Levi’s Kidswear, Monnalisa and Replay & Sons to a full house.

YoungStars Award
The YoungStars Award was conferred for the first time at the Children's Fashion Cologne - an award that addresses talented young designers from the children's fashion sector. The winner Angelika Böhm from Lüneburg, who successfully completed her degree at the JAK Academy in Hamburg three months ago, aims to use the award as a springboard for her career. "I am delighted about winning the award and see it is a good starting point for my career as fashion designer." Böhm receives prize-money as well as the opportunity to present her label and the new collection at the winter edition of Children's Fashion Cologne in February 2015.

Pimp my Shop NOW
The "Pimp My Shop NOW" campaign in cooperation with the Dutch retail design experts from "finishing Dutch" was once again very successful. "We held a lot of discussions and were able to win over new customers. It was the best edition of "Pimp my Shop NOW" so far, stressed Günter Bauer, owner of "finishing Dutch".
