As part of his fashion show “Le Jardin Versailles” designer Thomas Rath also presented the new collection Spring/Summer 2015 of the premium women’s trouser brand Thomas Rath Trousers alongside his semi-couture line at the former screw-making factory last night.
The label developed in cooperation with the Mönchengladbach-based trouser specialist Atelier GARDEUR presented itself for the first time to an audience in the Rhineland with a fashion show after its spectacular launch show at Berlin Fashion Week in January 2013.
The approximately 700 invited guests included not only numerous celebrities like Marcus Schenkenberg, Nazan Eckes, Kena Amoa, Claudia Effenberg, Barbara Sturm and Simone Ballack but also buyers from top fashion stores such as KaDeWe Berlin, Jades Düsseldorf, Breuninger Stuttgart, Holthaus Osnabrück and Schnitzler Münster.
The fashion show scored with an impressive staging all in line with the gardens of Versailles: pink light effects, vintage aviaries, pastel shades and grass green backgrounds conjured up a fascinating experience world inspired by these French chateau gardens and Ladurée-style interiors. Counter tenor Oswald Musielski provided the musical backdrop to the event with his classic soul charm.
Featuring on the catwalk alongside model Marie Amière were the German presenter and society expert Vanessa Blumhagen as well as star reporter Renato Leo.
After the first part of the catwalk show – the presentation of the Thomas Rath Semi Couture Line – the second part followed: 20 models presented the collection Spring/Summer 2015 of the premium women’s trousers line Thomas Rath Trousers. Guests saw a colourful cross-section of the collection and from all three themed worlds
“Business”, “Hot Fashion” and “Sport”: Those up-and-coming jogging styles in suede or in silk with ethnic prints, exquisite jacquards in a pop-art look or featuring a snake print with stud stripes along the sides, casual boyfriend denims with ethno-embroidery and pigment spray finishing all the way down to hip biker pants. The “icing on the cake” was an elegant ikat jacquard with decorative stripes down the sides. The collection presented classic elegance and sporty casual flair at the highest level!
