London Fashion Week to see Busardi's elegant line 'Air'
Aug '14
Attracting interest from some of the world’s most influential editors and buyers, red carpet prêt-à-couture label, Busardi’s will once again be showing over London Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2015 season.

Booking a Georgian mansion in Mayfair to set the tone for its runway collection ‘Air,’ Busardi expects a host of international celebrities and socialites to attend, along with its strong editorial following. ‘Air’ is inspired by the incredibly diverse landscapes and microenvironments of South America and the unique path of a bird soaring in flight over the glacier-hewn fields of Patagonia to the white and pink sand deserts of Argentina.

Layered with more philosophical implications, the collection will see the element of oxygen taking centre stage - air sustains all life but the power of air can freeze great swathes of water and waterfalls into icebergs. Billowing silhouettes will glide down the catwalk, while more structured pieces will be adorned with feathers that gently shift through the air as the models walk down the runway.

The entire collection of luxurious gowns and dresses will have a carefree, laissez-faire mood, enhanced by Busardi’s signature use of embroidery, lace and appliqué. Dusty textured pinks sprinkled and trimmed in soft feathers nod to exquisite birds, while nearly translucent blue silks shiver with commanding yet serene glacial allusion.

Flickers of gold will transport attendees to a setting sun over the Valley of the Moon in Chile’s Atacama desert. Busardi will be showing on Friday the 12th of September at a provisional time of 4:30pm.
