New web platform helps fashionistas buy runway pieces

Fashion lovers can now easily avail their favourite runway pieces that are yet to hit the retail stores, thanks to a new web platform entitled Luevo dedicated to limited-edition fashions created by young emerging designers.

The online medium will allow fashion-forward consumers to pre-order their favoured designs from the catwalk shots uploaded by the respective designers on their individual Luevo profiles.

The website will let the buyers to reserve their desired pieces and as soon as enough interest is gauged on a particular design the designer behind the ensemble will go into production followed by shipping to the customers ahead of retail distribution.

The new online destination will help in mitigating the problem of finding an interested retailer, who is willing to stock up inventories from a new name, as commonly faced by up and coming labels.

The list of designers has been carefully selected by a team of fashion stylists working for the web supplier.

Luevo is the first product-based crowdfunding platform that connects independent fashion designers with consumers who want to be on the leading edge of fashion. The company is based at the Canadian startup community Digital Media Zone.

The firm has recently collaborated with the young labels of the bi-annual clothing extravaganza DC Fashion Week.
