Angelic purity dazzles Bafweek runway

The ongoing Argentinean fashion celebration Bafweek is showcasing dazzling lines of Spring/Summer 2015 collections, created by a host of talented young and seasoned designers.

Fashion brand Ginebra, from designer Micaela Tinelli, featured a linen and pure silk made collection set in ultra feminine silhouettes. Adorned with typographic and Hawaiian prints, the range was based in a palette of white, off-white, light blue, red, yellow and black. A mix of evening and urban daywear looks, the line included embroidered and deconstructed denims in different washes, long and short dresses, tailored blouses and a variety of leather crafted ensembles like pants, shirts, skirts and fringed jackets.

The Buenos Aires label Las Pepas divided its latest collection into four dominant styles—tropical, sportswear, 1960’s retro and color block. Made using patterned silk, muslin, gauze, crepe, neoprene and leather, the range was created in a palette of bubblegum pink, lime yellow, coral, blue and turquoise hues. Some of the most standout pieces from the line were military style jackets with epaulets, gold buttons and studs, blazers, pleated skirts buttoned shirts, jackets and wide leg pants.

Divine angelic purity became the source of inspiration for designer label Roma Renom. Replete with wide necklines and transparent designs, the embroidered and stone studded pieces were made using chiffon, silk organza and lace. Pre-dominantly based on white, the designs also flashed touches of lime, peach and mint. The featured ensembles were floating dresses and robes decorated with flower appliqués.

Fashion label Nous Etudions, from designer Romina Cardillo, presented a versatile age less range meant for people between the age group of 18 to 45 years. Replete with impeccable tailoring, the print heavy line was made from neoprene, jersey, cotton, crepe and gauze.
