Eclectic designerwear shine at 66th Primetime Emmy Awards

Celebrities dressed in eclectic designerwear were spotted at the just concluded 66th Primetime Emmy Awards, an accolade that recognizes the best in the American primetime television programming.
The 28-year-old New York-born actress Lena Dunham managed to set the pulses racing in her gorgeous Giambattista Valli ball gown in pink and the 32-year-old Lizzy Caplan stood out in the crowd with her dramatic black gown with sweeping white train by Donna Karan.
Staying true to her forever immaculately dressed image, the African-American starlet Kerry Washington once again made a fashion statement with her strapless glittery orange coloured Prada ensemble at the Los Angeles ceremony and That '70s Show’s actress Laura Prepon caught the attention of the shutterbugs in a jewel toned teal gown, designed by the Argentine fashion designer Gustavo Cadile.
Claire Danes, the blonde beauty from the television drama series Homeland, made the onlookers go weak in their knees with her belted sleeveless Givenchy number with lace cutouts while the Latin sensation Sofia Vergara turned up the style metre a notch higher with her curve hugging strapless white Roberto Cavalli dress.
Hosted by American actor Seth Meyers, the Emmy Awards ceremony presented the coveted statuette in 26 categories and was telecast live on NBC. The American crime drama television series Breaking Bad scooped up the Outstanding Drama Series trophy and the ABC sitcom Modern Family was honoured with the Outstanding Comedy Series award at the glitzy evening.
