American fashion designer Donna Karan’s fashion label DKNY showcased her love for the New York City with an essentially New York themed collection titled New York Nation on the fourth day of the ongoing Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York.

Replete with bold geometric prints and athletic textures, the range was enhanced with stripes and eye catching embellishments in a palette of primary and pastel shades. The line’s major standouts were stretchy pencil skirts, short peplum skirts, hoodies, crop tops, fitted midis, oversized sweatshirts and boxy pleated dresses.

Spanish fashion brand Custo Barcelona, owned by designer brothers Custo and David Dalmau, incorporated the bright bold hues of a spring season rainbow in its latest Spring/Summer 2015 range. Based in shades of orange, blue, pink and yellow, the line included flirty flowy skirts, see-through pants, cropped tops, dresses with geometric shaped cutouts and minis.

Designer Diane von Furstenberg drew inspiration from the French Riviera for her new black, white, blue, hot pink and yellow heavy runway presentation which showcased several sunny gingham, crisp linen and big floral print detailed feminine clothes.

The New York’s Parsons School of Design alumnus Tracy Reese opened her show with a cheerful dance performance. The Detroit native’s collection included flowing dresses, off-shouldered jumpsuits with bold vibrant tropical prints, collared cropped jackets and billowy trench coats. (PB)
