The French-born designer and former creative head of the France-based clothing brand Lacoste, Christophe Lemaire, opened the second day of Paris Fashion Week with his latest Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

Made using lightweight cotton, poplin, chambray, linen and twill fabrics, the crisply textured range was based in structured and free flowing silhouettes. The standouts were a white asymmetrical cape, a belted blue sleeveless wrap front tunic, a black apron dress, tailored trousers with cropped ankles and a bright red outerwear.

The young Australia-raised designer of Chinese origin Yang Li wove magic with his abstract voluminous silhouettes at the Parisian soiree. Incorporated with denim and leather trims, jacquard, silk overlays, organza swatches and satin pleats, the line showed nipped-in-waist deconstructed ball gowns, fluted trousers, coats, short dresses and high-waist skirts.

Alessandra Dell'Acqua, the designer behind the lifestyle brand Rochas, showed a romance-inspired range replete with pretty floral prints, cute bows and delicate lace detailing. The collection’s major attractions were a flowy drop waist georgette dress, a sheer layered black strapless outfit, a ruffled tulle skirt, a bird print short sleeved jacket and exquisite floor skimming gowns adorned with guipure lace and macramé patchworks.

The Italian haute couture label Vionnet showcased its fresh ready-to-wear pieces inspired from the classic Greek and Roman styles. Designed under the creative direction of Goga Ashkenazi, the ethereal line was crafted from yards of frothy chiffon and lightweight jersey materials. Primarily based on a palette of white, cream and luxe nude shades alongside accents of blue, gray and black, the range included languidly draped gowns with intricately detailed shoulders and belted dresses with sheer decorations.

The French fashion house Balenciaga’s talented creative helm of American-Taiwanese dissent Alexander Wang highlighted a smart athletic-inspired collection. Created in lean silhouettes, the tonal embroidery enhanced pieces were a sweeping duster coat, tight leggings, fitted shirts, snug dresses, beaded jersey numbers with lattice patterned ribbons and black bead accented net frocks.
