More than 66 national and international designers showcased their latest arrays of Spring/Summer 2015 collections at the just wrapped up 17th season of Mercedes Benz China Fashion Week in Beijing.
Inspired from the country’s rich imperial past, the local label NE Tiger created its new haute couture collection which included red dresses with golden wing like sleeves and dramatic silk satin evening wear adorned with traditional Chinoiserie prints and embroidered Chinese flowers in pale rose and emerald green colours.More than 66 national and international designers showcased their latest arrays of Spring/Summer 2015 collections at the just wrapped up 17th season #
Silk Road Costume Sun Xiuqin Collection’s designer Sun Xiuqin divided her showcase into three sections-‘Thoughts in Relation to the Silk Road’, ‘Five Stars Rising from the East’ and An Impression of the Silk Road- to give a better understanding of the ancient Silk Road-oriented clothing culture. Accentuated with wooden beads, jewels, diamond and hand-made pearl embroidery, the high-end line included dresses made from linen, crepe and silk satin materials.
The fashion week’s new entrant designer Zhu Wen showcased the newest collection from her Yante Tree label. Inspired from a poem titled Going Home written by the well-known poet, Tao Yuanming, of the Jin Dynasty (265-420), the 105-piece range was crafted from silk, cotton, linen and fur. Based in tones of baby blue, shallow green and hyacinth, the outfits were adorned with traditional Chinese embroidery.
The China-based young fashion company Y'iLUCK, run by Yi Ya, displayed a modern, simple yet elegant womenswear line reflecting a mix of eastern and western cultural vibes where as designers Shenbai Peng Jing and Galatea Ren Chunhua opted to highlight a glamorous bridal wear range. (PB)
