Maredimoda unveils trends for Summer 2016

Leading swimwear and innerwear brands from across the world are showcasing their fresh Summer 2016 collections at the ongoing edition of Maredimoda, an international trade fair dedicated to lingerie and beachwear textiles and apparel and accessories.
Scheduled to go on till November 11 13, 2014 in Cannes, France, the event, which is now in its 13th year, aims to serve as a platform to promote European creativity, quality, textile culture and excellence as well as to build business relations.
The event highlights beachwear styles under four primary themes and innerwear looks under two main themes for the next season based on a survey and study carried out by David Shah, the most popular trend forecaster worldwide.
The swimwear segment includes the Jungle Fever theme which features a high-spirited mood inspired by the central African jungle universe, with conflicting patterns and bravely disharmonic suggestions while The Rave Couture theme is influenced by syncopated geometrical spaces with mixed pop patterns and strong colours.
The Memphis Sport recalls the contest mood of the beachwear with plenty of room dedicated to the technical aspects of fabrics and significant attention devoted to the combination of sculpture and geometry, whereas the Brutal Glam theme is more involved in the yearning for future where a new-age, strong, heroic, aggressive, intergalactic woman is featured by metal and spread-over dark colours.
Innerwear trends are divided into two key themes- Artist’s Garden is inspired by the atelier of a romantic bohémien designer offering an appealing ‘arts and crafts’ mood and a colour spectrum ranging from pale pink to earthy tones and the Sensory theme is showcasing well-outlined and well-shaped curve hugging pieces.
