Jewellery retailer BIRKS launches first mall store in Yorkdale

Canada's leading luxury jewellry retailer BIRKS announces the official opening of its newest store in Yorkdale, one of the country's premier fashion destinations. Located in the shopping centre's brand-new section, Birks Yorkdale is the 39th store in the retail chain and the first store opening in four years for BIRKS, which celebrated its 125th anniversary last year.
The 2,700 square-foot store represents the new face of BIRKS -contemporary, stylish and inspired. Designed by Oberto Oberti Architecture & Urban Design Inc., it boasts a magnificent two-level storefront made entirely of glass and an elegant décor that exemplifies BIRKS' new design direction, launched last year with the introduction of several new collections overseen
by Creative Director Holly Brubach.
"They are very pleased to show our customers this new face of BIRKS," said BIRKS President and CEO, Tom Andruskevich. "We have a renewed focus on luxury, style and design combined with exceptional customer service. This beautiful store is the embodiment of those elements and the brand."
The Yorkdale store showcases BIRKS' enhanced product offerings that include extraordinary new collections in fine jewellery from BIRKS' own award-winning designers, its signature designers - Michele della Valle, Esty and Toni Cavelti - as well as international brands such as Kwiat, exclusive to BIRKS in Canada.
A Canadian icon, BIRKS represents a heritage of trust and a legacy of uncompromising quality and excellent service. Its newest store carries the entire line of BIRKS product including diamond jewellery, gold, pearls, silver, watches and timepieces, gifts, flatware, crystal and items for the home. A watch boutique situated at the back of the store will showcase a vast selection of BIRKS signature watches and designer collections from Cartier, Baume & Mercier and Tag Heuer.
