Isko to host second edition of Isko I-Skool contest

Global denim producer, Isko unveiled the second edition of ‘Isko I-Skool’, a denim talent award which it manages through Creative Room, its style and research division.

Isko I-Skool shapes young talent with two separate contests, one for student designers - the Denim Design Award, and other for students of marketing, the Denim Marketing Award.

The first asks students to develop innovative denim designs around four main moods, while the second seeks creation of a complete marketing package around denim innovations.

Participating schools include; UAL Chelsea, ESMOD Munich, Akademie Mode & Design, FIDM, Istituto Marangoni, Sapienza University, IUAV, POLIMODA, University of Pisa, SCAD, University of Westminster, AMFI and AP Artesis Pantijn Hogeschool of Antwerp.

Creative Room will once again be tutoring students for the Denim Design Award by assisting them in developing designs and teaching them how to industrialize their ideas.

On the other hand, marketing and communication agency, Menabò Group will be tutoring the Denim Marketing Award students.

Companies which have partnered the awards include; Denim by Première Vision, Archroma, Lenzing, Tonello, Cadica Group, Caitac Garment Processing, Jims Design Studio, C&S and BPD Wash House.

Brand partners include; True Religion, Lee, Replay, Haikure and 3x1, together with accessories and jewellery players Swarovski and Stroili, and the notebook brand Moleskine.

The second edition of Isko I-Skool will help students leverage their creativity, among initiatives like a dedicated washing seminar held in Italy, where a selection of students will participate.
