Gaurav Gupta creates affordable festivewear for Jabong

The Indian fashion designer Gaurav Gupta has launched a new pocket-friendly range of women’s festivewear in collaboration with the online shopping destination ‘Jabong’.
Dubbed as Gaurav Gupta Tribe, the affordable ready-to-wear line is a balanced mix of intricate detailing such as embroidery, 3-D embellishments and the designer’s signature draped silhouettes.
The couture collection, which was researched, developed and finished within a period of three months, includes shoulder brooch adorned sarees with Greek pleating, stylised blouses and modern-style anarkalis.
An alumnus of London’s Central Saint Martin’s College, Gupta has been awarded with several prestigious internationally recognized accolades including The Future of Couture trophy at Altaroma Altamoda at the Rome Couture Fashion Week and ‘The Roots of Creativity’ title at the Mittelmoda Fashion Awards in Italy besides other recognitions in Japan, Russia and India.
The Indian fashion and lifestyle e-commerce portal Jabong is a multi-brand purveyor that offers more than 1500 on-trend international high-street and sportswear labels, as well as Indian ethnic and designer brands. Providing over 150,000 styles, the company also associates itself with major Bollywood blockbuster movies and brings in the new wave in fashion trends. (PB)
