Rumi Neely, the California-based cross-cultural fashion writer known for her blog posts at Fashion Toast, is the latest person in the blogosphere to foray into designing.

According to WWD, the 31-year-old designer of Japanese, Dutch and Scottish descent is set to launch her first-ever ready-to-wear contemporary womenswear line titled Are You Am I.

Inspired from the casual effortless personal style preferences of the blogger, the collection features tank tops, sheer T-shirts, matching silk camisole and bottom combos, leather miniskirts, ace-up shorts and strappy, backless little black and white dresses.

Launched in 2008, the style blog Fashion Toast receives almost 5.5 million hits per month.

In the past, Neely has worked in collaboration with online retailers such as Revolve Clothing and Shopbop. She has won both the ‘Blogger of The Year’ and ‘Best Personal Style Blog’ titles at the Bloglovin' Awards and the Industry Choice Award at the Socialyte Awards. (PB)
