Vardama creates spill & water resistant cotton fabric

Vardama Inc., a high-tech luxurious textiles provider, is set to launch its first fashion collection of cotton fabric for, sale infused with spill repellent Equa-Tek technology.

Vardama aims to fill a void in the marketplace by providing a fashion-forward solution with spill and water resistant garments. Equa-Tek garments are engineered in a way where the water is repelled on the outer surface while not affecting the natural characteristics such as breathability and softness.

From sleek silhouettes and luxurious materials to the infusion of their proprietary technology Equa-Tek into the very fabric of the garment, Vardama provides pieces that have the ability to repel liquid stains and defend against everyday elements facing the modern individual’s active lifestyle without compromising on breathability, hand feel and natural characteristics, according to a press release.

Creative director & co-founder of Vardama, Jorge Vega Umana said, “I envision a sleek confident man wearing clean tailored lines, a man who is competitive, who knows what he wants and where he wants to be. For this collection I am inspired by one of my late fashion icons, Cary Grant.”

Debuting selected men’s pieces at the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week SS15, the company plans to introduce a women’s line in Fall 2015. (GK)
