The Indian film producer and interior designer Gauri Khan has joined forces with Indianwear specialist Satya Paul to create a new fashion collection to mark the latter’s 30th anniversary.

According to India Today, the 44-year-old entrepreneur, who is the wife of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, will infuse her personal style sensibilities in the upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 range called A Tropical Wonder.

Due to hit Satya Paul flagship stores from February, 2015 onwards, the casual and occasionwear pieces, which targets young women, have been inspired from a vacation in an exotic destination.

Enhanced with exquisite digital and abstract prints on a mixed palette of aqua, pastel and fresh citrus hues, the range includes separates like sheer tunics, flowing kaftans, shift dresses and sarees.

Launched by the Pakistan-born eponymous designer Satya Paul in 1985, the Indian-based label specializes in ethnic womenswear and accessories. The brand is sold through a network of over 41 Satya Paul flagships and around 1,500 retail points in India and some 250 Satya Paul retailers worldwide.

Gauri Khna co-owns the film production and distribution company Red Chillies Entertainment with her Indian actor husband. (PB)
