Anthony Nak receives Couture International Jeweler Retail Design Award

Anthony Camargo and Nak Armstrong were honored by the National Jeweler and Couture International Jeweler publications with first place in the 2005 Couture International Jeweler Retail Design Award.
Eligible contestants included retailers, designers and architects who constructed or re-designed stores within the past two years. The Anthony Nak flagship store was chosen by an independent panel of design professionals as demonstrating excellence in design, inventive use of space, and overall quality of concept execution.
Camargo and Armstrong have received numerous awards by consistently distinguishing themselves as visionaries and prolific innovators in the jewelry design industry. The Couture International Jeweler Retail Design Award demonstrates the breadth and depth of the designers' talent for understanding and creating original beauty.
The impressive 800 square feet of retail space that comprises Anthony Nak's Austin flagship store is a destination in and of itself. Designed to reflect the artistic sensibility that inspires Anthony Nak's collections, the boutique resonates all that which the partners value in art and design. "Modern art, luxury and movement is the design philosophy that fuels our creative process," notes Armstrong. "We wanted our boutique to be a visual articulation of that philosophy."
Architect M.J. Neal worked with Camargo and Armstrong to break away from the limitations of a traditional jewelry store. The retail space is exceptional for its seamless integration of floors, walls and display areas.
