Jabong launches UK brand Dorothy Perkins in India

Indian online shopping destination Jabong has launched UK-based high-street brand Dorothy Perkins in India. The womenswear label’s team from London debuted its latest 1970s-inspired Spring/Summer 2015 collection at a special evening in Delhi.

Commenting on the launch, Arun Chandra Mohan, CEO and co-founder of the e-commerce site says, “With the launch of Dorothy Perkins exclusively on Jabong, we witnessed a great response from the Indian consumers and we wanted to provide consumers with the best.”

“This evening we saw a great response from the guests on the spring summer collection and we cannot wait for it to go live in March 2015. We are sure the collection is going to be a huge hit in the SS15 season,” he adds.

Made using differently textured materials like knits and crochet, the line features long dresses with A-line skirts, cropped trousers, chocolate brown suede shorts and jackets, oversized peasant blouses teamed with button front denim skirts and bell bottom jeans, felt hats, pink leather culottes and wide loose-fit trousers.

The collection’s sports luxe segment offers 1990’s utility clothing inspired pieces created in clean simple lines. The entry includes minimal boxy, cropped jackets in a variety of fabrics and textures ranging from neoprene to sheer and mesh, sleek cigarette trousers and asymmetric tops and tunics.
