Cole Haan opens innovation centre at global headquarters

The American lifestyle footwear and accessories brand Cole Haan has opened its first-ever Innovation and Sports Lifestyle Design Center, located at the company’s global headquarters in Greenland, New Hampshire.
The 20,000 square-foot space will engage into new innovations as well as concentrate on the ongoing development project of modifying the company’s lightweight and flexible shoe line ZeroGrand.
Speaking about the new facility, CEO Jack Boys said, “Cole Haan has been an innovator for 85 years. This has put us at the forefront of the footwear industry. With the opening of our Global Innovation Center, we elevated our commitment to bring creative disruption to the marketplace.”
Andrew Dubin, chief merchandising officer at Cole Haan, spoke about the label’s commitment towards innovation. He said, “Cole Haan will continue to dare to be bold, while honouring our tradition of crafting iconic American lifestyle products. The brand will continue to grow and revolutionise with innovation.”
Led by a sportswear and athletic footwear design veteran Scott Patt, the centre will enable the firm to aggressively expand its offering of ZeroGrand products. It will also join with best-in-class partners and manufacturers to deliver an integrated collection of lifestyle products for the global active consumers. The division’s products will be sold through Cole Haan stores, domestic retailers and international distribution partners.
Launched in July 2014, the proprietary design ZeroGrand integrates innovation and craftsmanship that delivers unparalleled style, comfort and functionality. The men’s and women’s shoe design focuses on weight reduction, flexibility and responsive cushioning. (PB)
