Around 1,100 Fall/Winter 2015-16 collections were viewed by approximately 16,100 trade visitors and buyers from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Ukraine, Turkey, Italy and China at the recently held 24th edition of Collection Première Moscow (CPM).

The Eastern European trade event hosted over 40 fashion shows including an emerging designer showcase by students of British Higher School of Art and Design, a foreign-themed catwalk ‘Italian Fashion on Stage’, a children’s parade and an award ceremony titled PROfashion Master.

Commenting on the Russian fair, project director, Christian Kasch, said in a media release, “It was an intense four days. I was able to see not just creative fashion here but also creative sales solutions and opportunities from our exhibitors. Once again we showed CPM was able to help bring together the fashion business and most importantly the people.”

Philipp Kronen, managing partner at the fair organiser, Igedo Company, said, “I am very satisfied with the trade fair. We are increasingly pushing ahead out of the market situation. Our customers benefit from our strong strategic alliances, networks and partners. Under the current circumstances CPM is definitely indispensable.”

In addition to fashion shows, the fair also organised a beachwear and bodywear-specific segment, Moscow Mode Lingerie and Swim (MMLS), in collaboration with Eurovet. Marie-Laure Bellon-Homps, CEO of the French-based organiser shared her experiences on the event: “We are very satisfied with the first season in partnership with Igedo. Although the MMLS segment was small, the mood was good and both exhibitors and visitors were very positive about the dynamism, new design and practical and effective opportunities for exchange at the new ‘Lingerie Talks’.”

“It was a strong event and we are already working on the September edition. Many brands attended the show and showed great interest in the next edition. This was a successful step forward. One exhibitor confirmed: lingerie has now found its home in Moscow,” she added.

Additionally, the event served as a launch pad for global debutantes like Cakes and Kisses, a brand from the international womenswear label Betty Barclay. (PB)
