Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo has roped in the Parisian fashion talent and former creative head of Hermes and Lacoste, Christophe Lemaire, to create a new collection.

According to Vogue UK, the French designer, in collaboration with his studio director and partner Sarah-Linh Tran, will create a capsule range for the Tokyo-based casualwear company.

Scheduled to hit stores and online sometime during this autumn, the range will feature creative, comfortable and everydaywear apparel for both men and women.

The Besancon designer had stepped down from Hermès’ womenswear division last year to focus on his namesake label Lemaire.

Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), Uniqlo designs, manufactures and retails clothing in 14 countries globally. (PB)
