Interior Lifestyle Awards, an accolade that aims to recognise the creativity of young interior designers and architects from the home fashion and décor industries, will be held in India this year.

The event invites participants to submit their concepts with 3D visuals or photographs of prototypes, which will be later judged by a high-profile panel of jury members specialising in various design fields.

The contest will shortlist eight finalists who would get the opportunity to exhibit their designs at the upcoming editions of home textile innovation-centric concurrent trade fairs, Ambiente India and Heimtextil India, due to take place from June 25 to 27, 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The selected applicants’ creations will be showcased at the ‘Experience Zone’ as per the themes laid down by the organisers of the twin fairs in accordance with latest home fashion trends.

The jury includes the likes of Lipika Sood (president of the Guild of Designers and Artists), textile and fashion designer Ritu Kumar, and the multi-faceted interior designer, architectural restorer and furniture manufacturer, Sunita Kohl.

The home fashion award event will be jointly organised by international trade fair organiser Messe Frankfurt and the Guild of Designers and Artists. (PB)
