Love Birds and Armaan Aiman show on day-3 of LFW SR15

The third day of ongoing Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015 witnessed a variety of fashion collections from names like Lovebirds, Munkee.See.Munkee.Doo and Armaan Aiman.
Amrita Khanna and Gursi Singh, the designers behind Lovebirds, showcased a range made using cotton, viscose, sturdy denim, mélange and silk georgette. Replete with pure simple and straight lines, minimal layering and oversized silhouettes, the pieces were based on a palette of white, black, grey, cobalt blue and orange.
The featured ensembles were a white calf-length shift, a horizontal striped blue shirt, a kurta teamed with tank top, drawstring skirts, a loose jacket and a cropped jumpsuit. The menswear entry included shirt tail long tunic, striped pants, grey tops, and the black and white drop crotch wide trousers.
Inspired by the increasing crime rate against women, label Munkee.See.Munkee.Doo’s designers Teresa Laisom and Utsav Pradhan featured apparel with weapon prints. Created in shades of blue, mint, lavender and charcoal, the range showcased dresses, jumpsuits, side-pleated midis and double breast blouses with gun motifs.
An isolated, secret scientific experimental lab in a dense forest inhabited by alligators and hummingbirds was the key source of inspiration for Armaan Aiman’s collection. The designer duo Aiman Agha and Armaan Randhawa created pieces in pastel tones of powder pink, coral, mint, metallic green and gold.
