Deepika Padukone stars in new Vogue Eyewear campaign

Vogue Eyewear has launched a new Spring/Summer 2015 campaign featuring three glamorous models, Brazilian model Adriana Lima, Indian actress Deepika Padukone and Chinese actress Liu Shishi.

“The campaign, which will be launched internationally, speaks to the young, curious and lively women of today’s society,” Vogue Eyewear said in a press release.

“The images convey a message of glamour and freshness, of style and creativity, truly reflecting the essence of Vogue Eyewear,” it added.

“The faces of the new campaign belong to three women known for their contemporary style and ability to marry hard graft and glamour, work and private life, character and lightness,” the eyewear brand informed.

This campaign marks Adriana Lima’s first appearance with Vogue Eyewear, while Deepika Padukone and Liu Shishi first starred in 2013, and have now become true testimonials and faces of a global campaign.

The Vogue Eyewear glasses that feature in the campaign were specifically chosen by the beautiful muses themselves; as a result, every photograph reflects their personalities and their own ways of wearing glasses.

Deepika Padukone is appreciated for her fashion choices and very distinctive style statements and has had a successful career in films, and is cited as one of the most popular and attractive Indian celebrities.

“She is often referred to as an epitome of grace and timeless beauty, her mesmerising persona embodies the many facets of the Vogue Eyewear Woman,” Vogue Eyewear noted.

In this campaign, Vogue was keen to capture the many sides of her personality and the result is a collection of wonderful, unique images that are a perfect reflection of the Vogue Eyewear world.

“Deepika exemplifies the essence of the Vogue Eyewear woman and symbolises everything our brand stands for and we are very excited and looking towards another promising collaboration.” Vogue Eyewear brand director Mariavittoria Di Stasi said.

Stasi added, “These three models represent the variety and peculiarity Vogue Eyewear sees in all women throughout the world. Different personalities and different styles, but all equally precious and important.”

The Deepika Padukone campaign, set in Goa in India was shot by Ellen von Unwerth, known for photographing the world’s most beautiful women.

The campaign, an expression of tropical spirit, is made up of six images in which Deepika wears three pairs of Vogue Eyewear sunglasses and three of optical frames.

“An absolute delight to collaborate with Vogue Eyewear, it’s the third year for me and I have enjoyed every bit of my journey with the brand,” Deepika Padukone said.

“The collection is an eclectic mix of pleasant hues and a perfect blend of femininity and lively colours. Be it elegance, style or utility, Vogue Eyewear will have something which defines your individual style statement,” she too added. (AR)
