Mango opens largest store in Europe in Milan

Spanish fashion retailer Mango has inaugurated its flagship store in Milan, located on the former site of Mondadori on the prestigious Corso Vittorio Emanuele, it said in a statement. With this store opening, Mango is consolidating its expansion in Italy, one of the brand’s priority markets.

Spread over 3000 sq metres across three floors, the establishment is the largest Mango store in Europe and stocks all the brand’s lines: Mango, Mango Man, Mango Kids, Mango Sport & Intimates and Violeta by Mango.

Mango currently has eight stores in Milan, including three standalone stores.

“It is a very significant store opening for the country, which confirms Mango’s commitment to the Italian market and strengthens the image of the brand. We are continuing to grow in Italy with an ambitious and consistent expansion plan by opening of new stores, while consolidating the new brand lines, given that Italy is a market with lots of potential in which the brand still has plenty of opportunities,” Matteo Sgarbossa, Mango’s director of international retail said.

With this new store opening, Mango now has 82 stores in the Italian market since it opened its first store in 2001. The Italian market occupies seventh spot in the ranking of the chain’s highest-turnover markets. (SH)
