SA's premier fashion event scheduled on 28-31 July 2005

Jun '05
South Africa's premier platform for the freshest new trends, cutting-edge ideas & absolute best on offer in local fashion design, the 9th SA Fashion Week (SAFW), will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg 28-31 July 2005.

Apart from respected designers such as Stoned Cherrie, Clive Rundle, Darkie, Ephymol, Loxion Kulcha, Colleen Eitzen, David Tlale and Cindy West already confirmed for this year's 4 day-event; the event will also feature the fashion expo – to get your hands on the first & best in summer fashion.

And, for the second year running, the highly anticipated fashion seminar - featuring leading fashion industry speakers from New York, London, Tokyo and Paris – will take place as part of South Africa's most prestigious gathering of all things that define “fashion”.

"SA Fashion Week is a glamorous celebration like no other of the unique diversity of our fashion design talent. In 2005, SAFW will once again continue its focus on the business of fashion and give a much-needed injection into the growth & development of this dynamic industry through the transfer of knowledge" says Lucilla Booyzen, organiser of SAFW.

The event presents itself as a four-day interactive expo - featuring around 100 stands flanked by two fashion arenas, which showcase the collections of established and new designers. The actual exhibition will feature the full spectrum of fashion sectors, including educators to the fashion industry.
