J. Jill promotes Robert F Dakin as Senior VP of retail store operations

John M. Pletzke, 41, was appointed Vice President of Product Management and Sourcing in October 2003 after more than 10 years with Gap Inc. From 2001 to 2002, Mr. Pletzke held the position of Vice President, Production/Global Sourcing for the Banana Republic division. Before joining the Gap, Mr. Pletzke held product development positions at A/X Armani Exchange and Polo/Ralph Lauren.
Mr. Cooke further commented, "In a short period of time John has helped us revamp our product and sourcing infrastructure, and as a result, significantly improved the quality and fit of our merchandise. While there is still work to be done, we now have a solid platform from which to expand into the future. With his extensive experience and valuable insight John has been a great addition to our management team and we are very excited that he will now be taking on design function responsibilities."
Since February 2002, Linda L. Trudel, 40, has held the position of Vice President/Corporate Controller. Ms. Trudel began her career with the Company in 1993 and has held various positions including Director of Finance and Assistant Corporate Controller from 1996 to 2002. From 1987 to 1993, Ms. Trudel held a number of positions in the audit division of Arthur Andersen. Ms. Trudel is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Mr. Cooke continued, "Linda has done an oone an outstanding job throughout her tenure with J. Jill, most recently spearheading our Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance effort and getting us to the point where we could conclude that our internal control over financial reporting was effective as of the end of our last fiscal year.
