The Profit Before Interest and Tax of the files division increased by 82 percent due to the benefits of restructuring exercise undertaken by the division during the previous financial year.
Commenting on the results, Mr. Gautam Hari Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director, Raymond Ltd, said: “The Company would maintain its growth momentum through continued thrust on its existing businesses and expansion of its business portfolio through strategic alliances with leading international players”.
“The company posted good growth in its Textile and Files and Tools business although the overall growth in Q2 was marginal due to transfer of the denim business to the Joint Venture. We are confident that the various initiatives undertaken by the management would not only maintain the leadership status but would also further enhance value to our shareholders”, said Mr. P K Bhandari, Group President & Wholetime Director, Raymond Ltd.
