Columbia sportswear in marketing tie-up with Another Line for new line of women's belts

Global leader in active outdoor apparel and footwear Columbia Sportswear Company announced that it has signed a license agreement with Another Line Inc for the design, manufacturing, and marketing of a new line of outdoor, active women's belts.

The new product line features a wide variety of belts that includes leather and fabric offerings as well as stylish and
distinctive buckles.

Another Line Inc will manage distribution of the Columbia collection through select department stores and outdoor retailers across North America. Initial availability is scheduled for spring 2006.

This agreement provides product that enhances our women's authentic apparel collection," said Tim Boyle, President and Chief Executive Officer of Columbia Sportswear Company.

"As they continue to focus on our women's product offering, they want to provide our customers with a full selection of accessories that reflect the same product quality that is known across our apparel and footwear lines."

Headquartered in San Juan Capistrano, California with a main showroom in New York City, Another Line, Inc. was founded by designer Gavin Kaplan in 1986. Over the years the Company has emerged with a reputation for handcrafted belts and fashion accessories. Currently, the Company develops and manufactures belts for ladies, men, and children under an assortment of private labels.

Columbia Sportswear Company founded in 1938 in Portland, Oregon, is engage in the designing, sourcing, marketing, and distribution of active outdoors apparel and footwear. As one of the largest outerwear brands in the world and the leading seller of skiwear in the United States, the Company has developed an international reputation for quality, performance, functionality, and value.
