Fashion retailer Nordstrom announces June sales

Nation's leading fashion specialty retailers Nordstrom Inc reported preliminary sales of $773.5 million for the five-week period ending July 2, 2005, an increase of 9.3 percent compared to sales of $707.5 million for the five-week period ending July 3, 2004. Same-store sales increased 8.1 percent(1).

Preliminary quarter-to-date sales of $1.3 billion increased 9.3 percent compared to sales of $1.2 billion in 2004. Quarter-to-date same-store sales increased 7.8 percent.

Preliminary year-to-date sales of $3.0 billion increased 8.4 percent compared to sales of $2.7 billion in 2004. Year-to-date same-store sales increased 6.9 percent.
