Director General Dinh Thi My Loan from the Department of Competition Administration under the Trade Ministry, said that Vietnamese leather shoes makers, including those who have not been selected by the EC, should publicise information to prove they are operating under market guidelines.
She further advised local businesses to seek cooperation from foreign firms that have been selected as surrogate companies in the case.
The European Commision on July 7 began a lawsuit against Viet Nam and China for dumping natural leather shoes in EU. The case was filed by the European Association of Footwear Manufacturers.
