Branded footwear marketer Weyco same store sales grow 2.7%

"The retail division continues to perform well. We opened one new store during the second quarter, offsetting the one store which closed in January 2005, and are scheduled to open one new store in the third quarter and two new stores in the fourth."
The Company's Board of Directors today declared a quarterly cash dividend of $.07 per share to all shareholders of record September 1, 2005, payable October 1, 2005.
All share and per share amounts in this release have been adjusted to reflect the two-for-one stock split distributed to shareholders on April 1, 2005.
Glendale based men's branded footwear seller Weyco Group Inc also designs and markets moderately priced and better-grade branded footwear for casual, fashion, and dress lifestyles for Men. The principal brands of shoes sold by the Company are Florsheim, Nunn Bush, Nunn Bush NXXT, Brass Boot, Stacy Adams and SAO by Stacy Adams. The Company also operates a small number of retail stores in the US and Europe.
