London based Maternity clothing designer Isabella Oliver is launching its fast-growing maternity wear mail order and online retail operation in the United States.

Isabella Oliver combines timeless styling and versatility with the very best of European flair and design to bring pregnant women sexy, feminine and flattering clothing to last them throughout their pregnancy.

About 500,000 searches per month are conducted on the Internet for "maternity clothes" in the USA. Demand for designer maternity clothing is nearly three times higher in North America. The company hopes to emulate the success of other UK mail order leaders who are trading successfully in North America such as Boden, Figleaves and Charles Tyrwhitt.

Isabella Oliver was founded in London by two women who noticed at first hand the lack of stylish, chic maternity wear:

Vanessa Knox-Brien, previously a head designer at Victoria's Secrets in New York and Baukjen de Swaan Arons, a marketeer in the FMCG sector.

"They did a lot of research at first and talked to all the women they admired who shared a sense of style and of course had been through pregnancy," said Baukjen de Swaan Arons. "This resulted in the core capsule collection of exclusive designer maternity clothing, and they were delighted with its success."

Isabella Oliver was launched in 2003 by Vanessa Knox-Brien and Baukjen de Swaan Arons and is named after their children Isabella and Oliver. The designer has already changed the face of maternity wear in the UK and continues to set trends that others follow adding new designs every season. The store offers the world's most stylish collection of exclusive maternity clothes that pregnant women love to wear. All thier maternity clothing is designed and made exclusively for us in soft, easy-care fabrics that feel fabulous on your skin.
