Gottschalks unveils 1st Lifestyle Center Store in Fresno

Clothing, fragrances, jewelry, and online wedding gift registry company Gottschalks Inc launched the regional department store chain's first "lifestyle center" store. The new 100,000-square-foot, two-story store opened today at The Shops at River Park in North Fresno.
The Company held a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, with doors opening to the public at 9:00 a.m.
The River Park store will offer a top assortment of apparel, shoes and accessories, cosmetics, fragrance and home brands, many new to Gottschalks and the Fresno market. In addition, the store layout will showcase a new format in merchandising and fixture presentation.
"They have designed every detail with the customer in mind," said Gottschalks President and CEO Jim Famalette. "River Park is all about lifestyle and they have gone to great lengths to make sure they are on-trend with the fashions and brands their customers want."
