Jewelry retailer Gordon scores a century

The 100 Years of Love campaign benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation in many ways. From Oct. 7-10, Gordon's Jewelers customers will receive a limited-edition package of greeting cards designed by Make-A-Wish children when theymake a jewelry purchase.In addition, from November through December, Gordon's Jewelers will donate $2 from the sale of limited-edition teddy bears to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.In total, Gordon's Jewelers' is donating $100,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which will help grant the wishes of approximately 17 children.

Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Born in 1980 when a group of caring individuals helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 74 chapters in the U.S. and its territories and 28 international affiliates on five continents. Granting more than 11,700 wishes a year and more than 144,000 wishes worldwide since inception, the Make-A-Wish Foundation celebrates "25 Years of Making Wishes Come True" in 2005.

Gordon's Jewelers' newest edition is the "Love" collection, which combines a state-of-the-art micro-pave technique with designs inspired by vintage styles.
