25th IFSCC Congress, showcase for scientific works

The Spanish Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SEQC) will host the 25th IFSCC Congress to be held in Barcelona on October 6-9, 2008, coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of the SEQC.
The International Congress of the IFSCC (International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists) is a biennial event and is considered the most important scientific rendezvous for the cosmetic industry worldwide.
The 2008 edition will be a showcase for scientific works featuring the latest advancements in basic and applied cosmetic research presented by the most prestigious researchers coming from universities, hospitals, research centers, cosmetic companies and raw materials suppliers.
Parallel to the Congress and at the same location, there will be a Technical Exhibition which will be an optimal opportunity for Congress attendees and other professionals to know firsthand the latest innovations in the field of cosmetic ingredients and packaging materials, and to make direct contact with product evaluation and testing laboratories and other suppliers present at the exhibition.
The scientific program, which is the core of the Congress, will be accompanied by a social program to provide all the attendees and accompanying persons the opportunity to enjoy the Mediterranean culture and hospitality, that will make Barcelona 2008 Congress a special and memorable event.
The International Federation of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) is a truly a worldwide federation dedicated to international cooperation in cosmetic science and technology. Interest in the formation of such an organisation crystallized in Paris in 1956 and culminated in the birth of the federation in Brussels, Belgium on September 8, 1959. At that time there were only 8 countries entering the Federation.
