Expansion of OTC Program at the Cosmoprof Show

Following the inaugural year of the OTC Program in 2007, Cosmoprof North America has announced it will continue this groundbreaking initiative in 2008.

As a result of feedback from PBA (Professional Beauty Association) members, especially manufacturer representative members, and the community at large including Cosmoprof North America visitors, a special emphasis has been placed on the OTC professionals and key decision makers.

Due to major shifts in the distribution channel, the OTC market represents growth opportunities for many new companies ready to do business in the US marketplace.

However, since many OTCs are small operations with minimal budgets, the OTC Program was implemented to answer the needs voiced by these OTCs regarding the cost of participation that often makes it prohibitive for small establishment owners to attend the show.

This initiative is being offered as a means to help partially offset the travel costs and expand the presence of the OTC demographic at the show.

For 2008, the list of manufacturer rep groups has expanded to signify a larger geographical outreach:
- The Kirschner Group
- Greg Dawson & Associates Inc.
- Spilo Worldwide Cosmetics
- Gerry Udell Inc.
- SouthEast Representative Service
- Van Nest Coleman Group
- Ted Fishman & Associates

After they have attended the show, each participating OTC professional will be required to have a special Cosmoprof North America 2008 form signed by their representative stating that they have attended the show so they can receive the travel reimbursement.

All OTC candidates are being directed to contact their representatives from the companies mentioned above for more information and details.
