New appointments: Luca Bertolini, GM of Mariella Burani

Mariella Burani Fashion Group, listed on the STAR segment of the Italian Stock Exchange, announces the appointment of two new managers, which is consistent with the Group's strategy to reinforce the management team to reach the ambitious objectives of international growth that is expected to lead MBFG to exceed one billion of euro of revenues in 2010.

Luca Bertolini will be appointed General Manager of Mariella Burani Fashion Group Spa and Heinz Hackl will be appointed Executive Chairman of the Management Board of Renè Lezard GmbH, German company controlled by Mariella Burani Fashion Group, leader in the production and distribution of apparel collections for women and men.

Luca Bertolini (43) has collaborated with the Group for over 10 years as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the subsidiary JAYA Srl, licensee of Alviero Martini and Ungaro. He contributed to the growth of the Apparel division and tripled the turnover of JAYA Srl within three years.

Heinz Hackl (42) has a significant experience in fashion, where he covered relevant managerial roles in primary companies such as Marc o' Polo GmbH, JOOP! e Karstadt GmbH. After a degree at INSEAD, in 1996, he worked for Boston Consulting Group and for the multinational Apollinaris & Schweppes.

The management enforcement will contribute to a growth of the apparel division at international level thanks to a dynamic development of emerging markets.
