Furthermore, familiar and new exhibitors and groups of exhibitors from Asia will again form a large exhibitor contingent at the spring edition of Global Fashion. For instance Pakistan – a country traditionally always attending for the Autumn/Winter season – will be represented with seven companies from the Pakistani leather apparel industry.

Their participation was again organised by the Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers & Exports Association. Also sporting the national Pakistani colours is for instance Noor, long since an internationally renowned major supplier of jeans and casual wear. India will be represented again by such names as Ahujasons Shawlwale, a major India accessories manufacturer, and Silk Appeal.

Coming from Japan is knitwear supplier Conquest which produces pullovers and the like in China. Companies from Nepal and Taiwan (the latter already long since launched now as a textile and clothing nation on the international sourcing scene) would also like to intensify contacts and forge new ones at the information and communication platform offered by Global Fashion.

“Fashion Parade” Fashion Show from Hong Kong Hong Kong, that traditional and historic fashion hub in the Far East/China, is using the Global Fashion exhibition forum for the third time now for a very special staging: the “Fashion Parade Hong Kong”.

This parade will provide a both entertaining and informative fashion show. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) it will showcase a representative cross-section of the new collections from the group of 20 exhibitors brought together under the HKTDC flag. “Fashion Parade Hong Kong” will be held at the joint stand (Hall 4, Stand F65/G65) on the first day of the fair 10/2/2008 at 11.30 am and 3.30 pm.

Textile and clothing manufacturers from the People's Republic of China have been key exhibitors ever since the first edition of Global Fashion in Düsseldorf. Indeed, Chinese associations from all over China traditionally represent the largest contingent of exhibitors at Global Fashion. Attending for the first time this year is a group of manufacturers organised by Shanghai Yizhan.

The other jointly organised exhibitors are represented by the following organisations/associations (some of whom already participating for many seasons now):

Added to this is the O-Yearning group already represented with a group of Chinese clothing manufacturers at Global Fashion in February 2007. Seven Chinese clothing suppliers with very high quality and fashionable styles will this time be presented by O-Yearning on a joint stand that is set to cause a stir if only because of its unusual stand design.
