'IT Enabled Leather Sector' – a great success for FDDI

Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, said, “The outlook for the sector is positive.

FDDI is making all its efforts to meet the most pressing need of the hour is which the human resource development and training of manpower.”

“To overcome this problem FDDI has increased the intake of students from 150 to 800. FDDI is also opening four branches in different parts of the country such as Fursatganj, Rae Bareli where the construction is going on in full swing,” said Mr. Lakhara.

In his address, Mr. Lakhara further said “ I am happy to announce that we are also opening one campus of FDDI at Chennai for which we are at advance stage of discussion with the Tamil Nadu government & in the next twelve months we will have branch of FDDI here at Chennai thereby meeting the long pending demand of this region.”

The seminar emphasized that there is an urgent need to train our manpower as per latest version of computer, software & other IT applications which will not only help to reduce the cost but also increases the efficiency & quality.

“FDDI is striving hard to overcome the bottlenecks and cope up with the needs of leather, footwear & retail industry in the country.” Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI.

The 'Vote of Thanks' was given by Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI where he expressed that “FDDI is striving hard to overcome the bottlenecks and cope up with the needs of leather, footwear & retail industry in the country.”

He also thanked the Managing Director of FDDI under whose able & dynamic leadership FDDI is constantly moving ahead towards new horizons.

He thanked all the eminent speakers who have taken all the pain to share their experiences to meet the challenges of the ever increasing role of Hi-technology IT enabled services which is the driving force in business environment.

The seminar was a great success as it attracted over 100 persons from this trade including representatives of overseas companies from various countries.
