APLF Fashion Access 2005 Awards for leather, fashion industry in Oct

Leather garment, footwear & accessories trade show organizer Asia Pacific Leather Fair Ltd (APLF) announced that the Best of APLF Awards is bestowed in recognition of product design excellence, high production quality, and innovation seen at the APLF Fashion Access to be held in October 2005.

It was conceived by the fairs' organisers to illustrate the importance of good design, uncompromising quality values, and technology advances in giving one' s product the competitive edge in the global market.

It is hoped that the awards will set higher standards for all the exhibitors to aspire for, encouraging them to "push the envelope" in their designs. The result would be a design-driven exhibition that constantly presents fresh and innovative products, processes and concepts to international buyers.

Award Ceremony
The winning products, exhibitors and designers will be presented at the APLF Awards Ceremony & Dinner starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2005. Venue to be announced.

Prizes
All winners will receive:
- The APLF Trophy & Certificate
The APLF trophy embodies the APLF's drive for design excellence and innovation. Designer Olivier Vedrine of O,O Designs in Paris handcrafts each trophy himself in a special atelier in France, using a special resin.
- HK$ 10,000 to be credited to the winner's participation in the subsequent APLF show.
- Inclusion in APLF Winners'Gallery exhibition to be held in the subsequent show.
