Liz Claiborne hires Pamela Thomas-Graham as Group President

Latest fashions provider Liz Claiborne Inc announced the appointment of Pamela Thomas-Graham as Group President with oversight for the flagship Liz Claiborne business, as well as Sigrid Olsen, J.H. Collectibles, Emma James, Intuitions and Tapemeasure, effective October 10, 2005.Thomas-Graham will report to Trudy Sullivan, Executive Vice President, Liz Claiborne Inc.

Commenting on the announcement, Sullivan said: "Pamela brings a unique perspective to Liz Claiborne Inc. In her previous position as Chairman of CNBC, she dealt with many of the same complex issues that confront the fashion apparel industry today. These include rapidly changing distribution channels, rigorous cost containment, international expansion and a highly competitive market in which share gain is the primary path to growth."

Sullivan continued: "Pamela also gained firsthand knowledge of industry during her time as a partner with McKinsey & Company. There she was instrumental in re-engineering the global supply chain management process and in developing channel management and consumer segmentation approaches for a multi-brand luxury apparel company. They are confident that these experiences will be invaluable as Pamela drives strategy for department store better and moderate brands, and they are thrilled to have her as part of claiborne team."
