Monisha Jaisingh's creation represented a no nonsense and focused approach to making a smart, elegant and wearable collection.
From sporty short denim skirts with velvet borders and gold and crystal motifs teamed with crepe shirts to shifts, kurtis, dresses, skirts, pants and jackets, the designer had showcased a wide range of silhouettes.
The simple yet streamlined colour palette of off white, blue, rusty red, purple, chocolate brown, white beige and metallic gold seemed to have an easy flow from one garment to another.
Monisha had done complete justice to the collection where the focus was balanced between all the design features such as embroideries, shapes, style details and colour, hence maintaining a clean and uncluttered look.
Embroideries around necklines and garment openings, stone work on the shoulder in off shoulder dresses emphasized the designer's strength.
Reptile skin printing in beige and its montones defined the base for a line of dresses, long flowing kurtas, tops and pants.
Metallic gold was tastefully incorporated in the following and final line up of pleated skirts, shifts, pant suits and jackets which appeared understated when worn with crisp smartly tailored fresh white shirts.
The collection offered smart separates for a large age group and got a positive response from the audience for this fresh and glamorous presentation from Monisha Jaisingh.
