Artfest to display The Romanho 'Roman' at Art Fest Trade Show

Artfest International Inc is pleased to announce its new "High End Jewelry line," The Romanho "Roman" Collection. Artfest International unveiled the precious stones collection at the Art Fest Trade Show, featuring Art Channel Galleries' "Creating Wealth Through Art" seminar. The Romanho "Roman" collection features Colombian Emeralds in precious metal such as gold, silver and platinum and will accompany with a themed painting as part of the collection.

The collection will range from a few thousand to several hundred thousand dollars per piece.

Born in Santiago de Chile, Romanho originally worked as a journalist at both Univision and Telemundo. He holds a degree in Audio Visual Communication from the University of Santiago de Chile. Romanho has shown his work in several galleries and venues, including the Gallery Art Space, the Latino Cultural Center, Dallas Convention Center, Studio 2006, the Community Council of Greater Dallas, and the Cathedral of Hope.

In November 2006, Romanho was chosen as one of the few emerging artists in Dallas to exhibit his work in the exclusive art gallery Brooke Berman. During the same month, the corporate office of Exhale in New York City purchased one of Romanho's paintings to display in their home office. In May 2007, the Hollywood star Queen Latifah met Romanho and acquired three paintings for her private art collection.

His bold technique immediately caught the attention of art galleries around the country. Agora Gallery in New York City said about Romanho: "Romanho's mixed media incorporates abstract and figurative elements, texture through the use of natural materials, and brilliant colors to convey feeling and expression.

In perspective, the work taunts the eye of the tradition with a unique presentation and emotive nuance that resonates throughout the entire presentation." Romanho works on specially treated newsprint: "I love graffiti," he says. "My paintings become a piece of wall with lots of texture and color. It is my way of communicating with the world."
