Bernard Zeichner plans to retire from Charlotte Russe BoD

Charlotte Russe Holding Inc, a growing mall-based specialty retailer of fashionable, value-priced apparel and accessories targeting young women in their teens and twenties, announced that Bernard Zeichner plans to retire from the Board of Directors of Charlotte Russe Holdings Inc, effective June 1, 2008. The Board of Directors unanimously appointed Ms. Jennifer Salopek as the new Chairman of the Board.
Mark Hoffman, Chief Executive Officer, commented "Bernie joined Charlotte Russe as President/CEO in May 1996 when the company was a 37 store Regional chain. He was appointed Chairman of the Board when the company went public in October 1999."
Mr. Hoffman added "On behalf of the Board of Directors and all of our employees, we are extremely appreciative of the significant long term contributions Bernie has made to Charlotte Russe. We wish Bernie well in all future endeavors and express our sincere gratitude for his leadership and strategic involvement over the past 12 years."
"At the same time, I want to congratulate Jennifer Salopek on her appointment to Chairman of the Board. We value her retail and strategic consulting experience as we move forward in refining and implementing our long term objectives," said Mr. Hoffman.
Ms. Salopek joined the Board in February 2006 and serves as a member of the company's Audit Committee and as Chairman of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Ms. Salopek is a Principal with ARC Business Advisors, LLC, a New York City based firm that provides strategic advisory services to businesses and investors in the apparel, retail and consumer industries.
She has extensive retail and consulting experience including positions as Executive Vice President of Strategy with Tommy Hilfiger Corporation, as Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting and its successor, IBM Business Consulting Services and as Senior Vice President at Calvin Klein Inc.
