Salomon launches its new trail running shoes "XT Wings"! After several years of research and development, while always listening to runners' needs, Salomon has been able to establish that what matters immensely for a running shoe is its mass distribution.

"This discovery led us to reduce the weight in the back section of the shoe all while guaranteeing excellent shock absorption and heel hold," explains Christophe Aubonnet, Trail Running Footwear Product Manager.

By increasing speed and providing a burst of power without reducing the amount of energy for push off, this shoe is the latest culmination of the brand's expertise in top trail running. By this Salomon confirms its position as a key player on the worldwide trail running market.

Dynamic, comfortable, attractive, and robust the XT Wings are the answer to the prayers of both top athletes and occasional runners.

A shoe that is also developed on the web. For the launch of its new model, Salomon has also decided to enter the web and continues to pursue its quest for innovation on.

Through the new application "running maps" Salomon focuses even more on its ultimate consumers. The application allows them to record and save their different race courses and to share training tracks and sports challenges.

Salomon invites bloggers, athletes and web users to go beyond their own limits...

Salomon invites athletes and web users from all over the world to participate in a genuine quest on: the XT WINGS CHALLENGE. Web users are invited to suggest their own ideas of the craziest sports challenges.
